Née à Bruxelles (Belgique) le 9 août 1951, Francine VAN OS y passe toute son enfance et y fait ses études.
C'est en travaillant dans la galerie de Pol FRAITURE à Bruxelles qu'elle a son premier contact avec l'art. Elle y fait la rencontre du gynécologue Willem VAN OS qu'elle épousera.
ls vont ensuite habiter la Hollande pendant 8 ans, puis à Bruxelles. En 1983 ils optent pour Monaco où ils y vivront.
Pendant 15 ans, Francine VAN OS voyage à travers le monde avec con mari. C'est au long de ces voyages que l'idée et l'envie de créer lui sont venues.
Elle commence à peindre en 1985.
Ses premières oeuvres sont des compositions florales avec des effets de relief. Elle peint ensuite des sous-bois, toujours en y incluant cette dimension de relief.
Au fur et à mesure, sa recherche se porte sur l'obtention d'effets de couleur et l'envie un jour, de restaurer un abat jour défraîchi pour son atelier, l'amènent à créer des lampes et à associer, avec chacunes d'elles, un tableau en représentant les différentes parties.
Le lien entre la sculpture et le tableau est toujours le même : le fil électrique.
D'où le nom que Francine Van OS a donné à sa collection présentée ici : ÉNERGIE.

Born in Brussels (Belgium) on 9 Augut 1951, Francine VAN OS spent her childhood and studied there.
While working in Pol FRAITURE's gallery in Brussels, she had her first introduction to the world of Art. There, too, she met and married the gynaecologist, Willem VAN OS.
Afterwards, they lived for 8 years in Holland, then back in Brussels. In 1983 they chose to move to Monaco, where they will live.
For the last 15 years, Francine VAN OS has travelled throughout the world with her husband. It was during these trip that the idea and the desire to create first came to her.
She began to paint in 1985.
Her first works were florale compositions with effects in relief. She then painted the undergrown, still adding this there dimensional impression.
Little by little, her search led her to achieve the effects of colour. To do this, she uses syringes.
Painting in relief, seeking the effects of colour and the desire, one day, to restore a faded lampshade for her workshop, are leading her to create lamps and to associate, with each of them, a painting representing their different parts.
The link between the sculpture and the painting is always the same : the electric cable.
Hence the name which Francine VAN OS has given to her collection, present here : ÉNERGIE.
